Coping with Stress
Planning a wedding or event can be fun and stressful at the same time. Things don’t always go to plan and coordinating suppliers and materials can be a real headache.
Here are some simple tips to help take the stress out of your wedding or event.
- Plan ahead! Take the time to get organised early. Last minute rushes leave you at risk of missing out or making mistakes.
- Get help! Friends, family and colleagues are usually happy to help make the wedding or event a success. Once you have a plan, delegate some tasks to your willing helpers, or get help from a specialist wedding or events organiser.
- Take it easy! Remember to leave yourself some relaxation time, especially in the week before the big event. Take the time for some relaxation, a beauty spa or massage to keep you relaxed and peaceful or just take some quiet time for yourself.
- Take care of your health. It’s a fact that healthy, well rested people cope with stress better.
- Have a back-up plan. Not everything you plan for will work out. Supplies sometimes run out, people fall ill and the weather will change. If something doesn’t work out, don’t get hung up on it, move on and put your back-up plans into action.

A simple candle can be brought to life with the addition of some clever decorative accessories. Develop a colour theme for your tables and have some fun creating your own specialised table piece. Set a candle in a coloured dish amid some matching accessories, or dress up a plain candlestick with ivy or ribbon.
